After graduating from San Francisco State University's Cinema Production program, Ashim worked at various film festivals before settling in Los Angeles. A 2018 Producing Fellow for Film Independent’s Project Involve, Ashim has worked in film, television, commercial, and digital production. He has produced documentary, narrative, and branded content for notable production companies such as RocketJump, Lionsgate, Hulu, Mitu and MACRO. Always interested in emerging tools to enhance storytelling, Ashim has been working with Kings Ransom Media, a boutique VFX shop in LA & NY, as a VFX Executive Producer landing and leading projects for Apple, A24, Universal, HBOMax and more.
Films include We’re All Gonna Die (SXSW 2024), directed by long time RocketJump collaborators Freddie Wong & Matt Arnold, Handle With Care (Post Production), written and directed by Matthew James Thompson and starring Justin H, Min, and most recently Patel (Post Production) written and directed by Ravi Kapoor starring Utkarsh Ambudkar, Richa Moorjani, Kunal Nayyar, Danny Pudi, Kal Penn and more.
